Episode 08: To Make Art You Have To Live

Let’s get creative. Muriel Wandey of Murielle Music drops literal gems to our ears y’all. Since the start of the pandemic, everyone has been impacted-- especially those who we rely on to lift our spirits through their art. Muriel breaks down what it has meant for her to be an artist during these times, the life choices that brought her to her dream, and how she’s navigating the middle of her creative journey.

Muriel’s advice to other artists is the same as the advice she’d give to herself:

  • Journal, take time to layout your thoughts. Muriel recommends The Artist’s Way Morning Pages Journal by Julia Cameron.

    • Check out this cool article from the NY Times about Julia Cameron and the benefits of morning pages.

  • Do not be afraid of your own potential— don’t be afraid of who you already are.

  • Vulnerability is strength and it comes in many forms. Learn to love them all.
